Souler Flare Update #1

Progress
- We have found most of the art assets required for the game, and working on implementing them into it.
- Subhan - worked on enemy movement and A.I, added backgrounds and platforms.
- Erick - worked on basically everything on the player. Movement, animations, attacking, etc. Also added some music.
- The plan is progressing smoothly, hopefully we can keep going without hitting too many hurdles that impede our progress.
Screenshot Descriptions:
1. Shows the workings of an upcoming level and what the rest of the game will look like.
2. Displays the player slashing his sword, which is the way to attack enemies.
3. Shows an enemy, a skeleton, walking on a platform. Like a Red Koopa, he walks to one edge, turns around, and walks to the other side.
Milestones
- The next milestone is to have a working prototype, it will be finished before or on April 26th.
- The prototype will include basic game play. The player will run, jump, and slash. They can kill enemies and the enemies can kill him.
- Some things I think we could get hung up on are getting collisions with the enemies to work and deleting them, having animations look proper, and not spending too much time doing one thing.
- I think the best way to address these concerns is too spend more time outside of class and also to just make sure it works first, then polish it later. Another way is to look at more resources online for help.
